Questions & Answers

How do I get saved?

Admit that you have sinned and are a sinner.
The Bible says, “For all have sinned and come short of the glory of God” (Romans 3:23).

Know that God has already provided for your salvation. You do not have to earn it.
“For God so loved the world that he gave his only begotten Son [Jesus Christ] that whosoever believeth in him should not perish but have everlasting life” (John 3:16).

Know that you cannot save yourself. No matter how good we try to be, our goodness is still filthy because of sin.
“Not by works of righteousness which we have done but according to his mercy he saved us” (Titus 3:5).

Be sorrowful and repent of your sins. Repent means to turn away from and not go back.
" For godly sorrow produces repentance leading to salvation, not to be regretted; but the sorrow of the world produces death."        (2 Corinthians 7:10) and
“Except ye repent ye shall all likewise perish” (Luke 13:3).

Ask Jesus Christ to save you.
“For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved” (Romans 10:13)
and “Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, and thou shalt be saved” (Acts 16:31).

Proclaim Jesus before others.
“If thou shall confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shall be saved. For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness: and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation” (Romans 10:9, 10).

Bowing is from the Asian culture as a sign of respect. It is not the same as bowing in worship. It is similar to a handshake in Western culture.
